Breathable Paint

Breathable exterior and interior paints allow moisture to escape from walls while providing a protective barrier. This paint can be helpful in areas prone to dampness, like bathrooms or basements.

In these areas, traditional paint will trap moisture and lead to issues like mould and peeling.

Breathable paints are made from natural materials such as lime and silicate, which have breathable properties. These paints help regulate the humidity level in your walls and don’t trap excessive water.

These paints are eco-friendly and contain fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than standard paints.

Why Choose Graphenstone Breathable Paint?

All the paints of Graphenstone are breathable. These paints allow water vapour to pass through, preventing moisture from being trapped beneath the surface. It reduces the risks of damp, mould, and peeling paint, particularly in humid rooms like bathrooms or kitchens.

Our Graphenstone paints are eco friendly that absorbs CO2 and other toxins. These paints are not just hygienic but also durable. So, it cuts the hassle of applying paint again and again.

These paints are fireproof and anti-bacterial, promoting health and a clean environment in your home.

Surface Preparation for Graphenstone Breathable Paints

You need to clear out your walls first. Remove the existing flakes by using a scraper or stiff brush. If the surface has dirt, remove it with water or any mild detergent and let it dry first.

Then, look for any potential repairs like holes and scratches. Use a breathable filler and sand it down to create a smooth foundation when it is dried.

If the surface is highly porous, you can use the breathable primer first to help the paint to adhere well to the surface. Make your surface even before applying the Graphenstone paint, and let your wall dry completely to maximise durability and minimise damping and mould risks.

How to Apply Graphenstone Breathable Paint?

You can apply the Graphenstone breathable paints simply like traditional paint. Firstly, ensure that the surface of your walls is even and clean. Then, you can choose any tools to apply, like brush spray or roller, based on the texture of the surface.

Stir the paint well before taking it into the paint tray to mix the ingredients well. Use smooth, even strokes to create a uniform finish when applying the paint. You can dilute the paint (10-15%) for the first layer based on instructions. It will help the paint to penetrate the surface.

Once the first layer is dried, apply the second undiluted later to get smoother and more durable paint.
